Seven expressions that Jesus used on the cross

May you have a blessed Easter time this year!

This weekend we are thinking about the price the Lord Jesus paid to give us eternal life.

We think about the 7 words he used on the cross. Three of them before the three hours of darkness, the 4^th one when it was dark and the last three after the darkness. The first three expressed Jesus' love for us;

1. “Father, forgive them because they do not know what they are doing”Luke 23:34

2. “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43

3. “here is your son… Here is your mother.” John 19:26-27

4. “My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?” Matt. 27:46

5. “I am thirsty” - John 19:28 

6. “It is finished”- John 19:30

7. “Father into your hands I commit my spirit.” Luke 23:46

Seven is the perfect number! May our Father in Heaven's perfect plan be fulfilled in your life. May you experience this Easter time anew what Jesus Christ came to do for you and give yourself anew to Him!
